Manar Doughouz, OD
Dr. Manar Doughouz is a board-certified optometrist specializing in medical and comprehensive eye care. Dr. Doughouz is adept at diagnosing, and
treating ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye as well as managing pre-operative and post-operative cataract care. As an optometrist, he has expertise in the fitting of contact lenses.
Dr. Doughouz grew up in North Haledon, New Jersey, and attended William Paterson University, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Biology. He then pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, attending Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. During his years at NSU, Dr. Doughouz was an active member of the American Optometric Student Association and the Sports Vision Club. Throughout his training, Dr Doughouz rotated through multiple subspecialty clinics, including Eye Centers of South Florida and South Florida Vision, where he worked alongside general ophthalmologists, corneal specialists, retinal specialists, and oculoplastic surgeons, providing patients with the highest level of care and satisfaction. After graduating from Optometry school, Dr. Doughouz moved back to New Jersey to be close this family and friends. During his free time, Dr. Doughouz enjoys traveling, playing soccer, weightlifting, and spending time with loved ones.
